The Axle tab is where your done-for-you local SEO lives — the work and the results, in one place. What you see there depends on whether Axle is switched on for your business. Here's the tour for both.
With Axle: your four cards
At the top you'll see the header, "Axle," with a freshness chip telling you when the data last synced — it syncs on a regular schedule. Once your first data lands, four cards fill in.
Rank Heatmap shows where you rank in the local pack across your service area. Each pin on the grid is your local-pack rank at that spot — green is top 3 (the calls-from-Google zone), amber is 4–10, red is 11 or worse. If you track more than one keyword, pills switch between them, and the card shows the selected keyword's "Avg. rank" and its change since your last report. Before your first scan lands, the card says so — Axle runs one with every report.
Google Profile Performance compares this report period to the one before, so you can see how often your profile got seen and acted on. You get tiles like Views on Maps, Views on Search, Calls, Website Clicks, and Direction Requests — with a change versus the prior period once there's history to compare.
Axle Did This is the work log — the work Axle completed, item by item, over roughly the last 30 days. Entries read like "Published a Google post," "Updated your business description," "Added services to your profile," or "Sent a review reminder," and repeat actions collapse into one line with a count.
Review Stats shows your Google reviews as Axle sees them: star rating, total reviews, Replied To ("X of Y"), Avg. Reviews / Month, and your Last Review.
First, Axle needs to see your profile
Axle works on your Google Business page, so it needs access. Until that's set up, the tab explains that "Axle is waiting on access to your Google Business page" with a Grant Access button. After you grant it, linking up can take a little while — once linked you'll see "Axle Is Gathering Your Data" until the first sync lands. Already granted access but the page is still asking? Use Book a call and our team will take a look.
Without Axle: a preview and a free audit
If you're not on Axle yet, the tab previews what it does: geo-grid rank tracking, Google profile optimization, and keyword-rich posts and replies — you watch the work land here while Axle does all of it. Tap Try Axle: Free Profile Audit and Axle checks your Google profile against nearby competitors, then sends back a free report of what it would fix. Prefer to talk it through? If you have more than one location
Axle works one Google Business page at a time. On the all-locations view, an Axle by Location card lists your locations, each chipped Live, Needs access, or Not on Axle. Open a location that's on Axle to see its own rank map and work log.
